Author and Presenter
This course has been developed by Dr Annette Davison, 'The Water Risk Doctor' and winner of the 2021 AWA Water Professional of the Year award.
Annette is a microbiologist and paralegal with over 30 years in the water and environment industries and, the founder of Risk Edge Pty Ltd plus co-founder of water quality monitoring and information company, D2K Information Pty Ltd.
Annette lead-authored the World Health Organisation’s first Water Safety Plan initiative in 2004-5 and was instrumental in achieving inclusion of risk management within the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines in 2004. Awarded the AWA’s Nancy Millis Award in 2005 for recognition of her services to risk management, Annette was also honoured in 2012, as an AWA ‘NSW Legend of Water’ and was a board member for two periods (2003-2005 and 2015-2017). Most recently, Annette has been involved in developing and implementing drinking water management system guidelines for local water utilities and continues to implement water cycle governance risk management
